CLUB HISTORY:
Our senior men’s team was established in season 1995/96 from the members of the Wantirna Christian Community Church (now One Hope Community Church
http://onehopecommunity.com.au
) and played under a local club.
In season 2002/03, we decided to form our own club and have been playing as Knox Churches Cricket Club at Knox Park, under the banner of Knox Churches Sports Association (ABN 40 945 491 394).
Also part of Knox Churches Sports Association is the very successful Knox Churches Soccer Club (
http://kcsc.org.au
)
, from where many of our players come from. The soccer club fields around 17 junior, 6 men and 2 ladies teams in the Victorian Churches Football Association competitions
during the winter.
After our senior men’s team winning 5 One Day premierships with the Ringwood and Ferntree Gully Cricket Associations, we now play in the Eastern Cricket Association.
In addition to a fantastic pavilion and training nets, we have been successful in lobbying the Council to improve the playing surface (which will be underway in 2014). We look forward to growing our club with you and playing together as friends, family, as strong community under our Christian club. We focus on participation, giving everyone a fair go, encouragement and being a family friendly community.
